Get Ready for the Global #GivingTuesday!

There is no doubt that #GivingTuesday is a growing phenomenon. According to the Nonprofits Source, #GivingTuesday helped nonprofits raise 38 times more in 2018 than in 2012, which is when the idea of #GivingTuesday began. On Facebook, #GivingTuesday donations grew by more than double between 2017 and 2018. Isn't it about time Muslim organizations jump on the #GivingTuesday wagon?

This year #GivingTuesday is happening on the 1st of December, Insha'a Allah. But why should Masjid organizations pay attention to this global day of giving? How can Islamic organizations plant seeds during this day, whose fruits they can continue reaping for many years? The pandemic has hit hard this year, but it has opened a unique opportunity for online fundraising like never before.
